Which courses are CBT Signature courses?

CBT Foundational and CBT for Trauma are the signature courses and run on an intake basis with an interactive discussion forum available during the course.

How do the courses work?

Psychwire’s Signature Courses run on an intake basis, meaning they commence on specific days throughout the calendar year. At midnight PST on the date the course commences, you will receive a welcome email with information on how to get started and what to expect in the coming weeks. If you are unable to locate your Welcome email, please check your spam/junk folder as it might have been redirected there. Our Signature courses are delivered in weeks, and each Tuesday at midnight PST new weekly content will become available. We will send you a reminder email letting you know what topics we will be covering that week. Throughout the course you can log in to your Psychwire account from anywhere at any time, allowing you to learn at your own pace. We recommend setting aside 2 hours per week depending on your course to stay up to date. Our Signature courses are designed to provide the best possible learning experience, which is why the course must be completed in sequential order, no skipping ahead! Each week you will find yourself fully engaged while viewing entertaining videos, conducting experimental exercises and reviewing in-depth written materials. Throughout the course, you will have access to the course library filled with additional resources and a 6-week online forum managed by our expert trainers. The forum is a great place to interact with fellow participants, share your experiences, ask questions and gain insights from expert trainers themselves. At the end of the weekly releases, there is an additional 12-week grace period where the entire course is available for review. You can use this time to catch up on the course or dig deeper into some of the topics we have covered. There is a countdown clock conveniently placed within your course dashboard to keep you up to date with exactly how much time course access is available. Please note, at the end of the grace period, your course access will end. As we are unable to provide extensions, we encourage all participants to be mindful of when their course access ends to ensure they have ample time to complete the course beforehand. Once you have completed the course in full, you can expect to receive a document confirming your course completion within 3 business days. Please note, this documentation does not provide formal certification.

What will I have access to during a course?

You’ll have access to course content as it's released weekly - engaging videos, experiential exercises and a library packed with enriching resources and articles. All written content, including PDFs and some audio content, is available for download. Please note that video content is only accessible during your course. You’ll also have exclusive 6-week access to the forum during your course. It’s an incredible opportunity to engage with CBT experts and other students. We encourage you to ask questions and post feedback for an immersive learning experience. There is a grace period where you can review and catch up with the course content after the 6 weeks of weekly content has been released. The grace period is 12 weeks

When will the course access end?

How much time should I dedicate to the course?

Which courses are Self-Directed CBT courses?

CBT for Depression and CBT for Anxiety are self-directed courses that are available to purchase and start immediately.

How does a self-directed course work?

The self-directed courses contain modules that are designed to provide the best possible learning experience, which is why the course must be completed in sequential order, no skipping ahead! Each module includes a mix of carefully selected video lessons, engaging animations, commentary and interactive quizzes, featuring practitioners from a range of backgrounds, working in diverse settings. To navigate around the course simply click Next or Back as you complete each exercise or select the module you wish to view from the navigation menu on the left-hand side. When you have completed the entire course you are free to go back and re-explore previous modules. You can revisit sections that you found particularly useful, or return to practice a specific skill that you wish to master before you try it out in your practice. You’ll also access a comprehensive library of resources and readings to delve more deeply into this method, which is being used in over 50 languages around the world and has been evaluated in over a thousand controlled trials. Once you have completed your purchase, you will gain immediate access to your course and can get started right away. There is no need to be online at specific times so you can feel free to complete the course whenever is convenient for you. All participants who complete the course in full will receive a Certificate of Completion via email within 3 business days. If you wish to obtain CE Credits, you must select this option at the time of purchase, CE Credits cannot be added at a later time.

Do I need to be online at a specific time?

No - these courses are self-directed, meaning upon purchase, you will get access to the content for a set time period. You can complete the course at your own pace.

How do I start the course?

Once you have purchased our CBT for Self Injury, Compassion Focused Therapy, CBT Depression and CBT Anxiety you will receive a Welcome Email with more information on how to get started. If you are unable to locate your Welcome Email, please check your spam folder. You may also follow the instructions below to gain immediate access to your course. 1. What’s your refund and cancellation policy?

If you’re unsatisfied or you’re unable to complete the course, we’re able to provide a full refund, providing you let us know within seven days of the course beginning. After this time, if you’re unsatisfied, please contact the customer service team and we’ll work with you directly to resolve your issue. If you’re facing serious difficulties outside your control, please contact our customer service team. Although we can’t give you a refund after seven days, we can discuss with you the possibility of deferring to a future course date. If Psychwire Australia PTY LTD has to delay the start date of a course, all registrants will be notified by email and you’ll be given an opportunity to request a refund. If a course is cancelled, participants will be notified by email and full refunds will be given. How Do I Access the Online Forum - CBT Signature Courses

From the menu bar, click on the "Forum" button and you'll be taken to the forum where you can ask questions or make a comment. The idea is, you study the materials and interact via the forum. Trainers will reply to questions or add to discussions via posts to the forum.

How long are the discussions on the online forum available to refer to?

You can view all discussions that take place on the online forum for the duration of the course (6- week). The trainers will be active in the Forum while the course content is being released but will be unavailable once the 12 week grace period begins. You can still review any of the comments and questions in the grace period, you just can't post anything new. Forums are not available for the CBT Depression, CBT Anxiety, CBT for Self Injury and the Compassion Focused Therapy courses. The trainers will not be online in these courses.

When can I catch the trainers online?

There is no fixed time that the trainers will be “live” online but you will find them active at least four or five times a week, sometimes as often as two or three times in a day. Forums are not available for the CBT for Depression, CBT for Anxiety, CBT for Self Injury and the Compassion Focused Therapy courses. The trainers will not be online in these courses.

How do I use the library?

Click on the "Library" button from the menu bar to access course material you can download. The content you can access will grow as each new week is released to you.

How do I know who is a trainer?

Trainers can be identified easily as beside their name you will see "Trainer" displayed in grey. They are also displayed on the right hand side of the Forum, under "Meet the team" with a Profile photo. You can click on any trainer and see their Profile information including a detailed bio.

How do I create or edit My Profile?

Click on "My Dashboard" in the top right of your screen and select “My Profile” from the drop down menu. To edit your name or Profile photo, click on the “Edit” button in grey letters on your screen. What is CE/CME credit

The United States of America and Canada require health professionals to accrue CE/CME (Continuing Education) credits in order to maintain their licenses or registrations. These credits are gained through approved educational activities which serve to develop professional knowledge and performance. CE/CME Credit certificates are submitted to licensing guilds within the U.S.A. and Canada.

What are the requirements for CE/CME credits?

The CBT Courses have the following requirements: Add CE/CME's at time of purchase or reach out to support@psychwire.org before course access ends Complete the course in full Achieve an overall quiz score of at least 80% across all quiz questions in your course Submit a post-course evaluation form at the end of your course

How are the CE/CME credits calculated?

One CE/CME credit is awarded for each 60-minute contact hour.

Instructions for Obtaining CE/CME credit

If you wish to earn CE/CME credit for our CBT courses, please follow these steps: 1. Register for the course at https://psychwire.com/cbt 2. Upon checkout, select the option to add CE/CME credits. * 3. Once the course becomes available, watch and/or read the course materials. 4. Course content must be viewed in the order presented. You can go back to review previously completed content, but you can not "jump ahead". 5. Answer the weekly quiz questions (see " Quiz Questions and Score Calculation " for important information). 6. Complete and submit the post-course evaluation form that will be available at the end of the final week. ** 7. Quiz Questions and Score calculation

An overall quiz score of 75% or higher is required in order to receive CE/CME credits. Where are the quiz questions located? Quiz questions are located at the end of each week Quiz questions are located after most modules What is the format of the questions? Most questions are multiple choice, some are true/false. Do all of the questions count toward my score? Yes. All quiz questions are counted toward your score. What happens if I answer a multiple choice question incorrectly? If you miss a multiple choice question, you will immediately have two more opportunities to answer the question correctly. If you answer correctly on your second or third attempts, then you will receive credit for the question. If you answer incorrectly on your third attempt, you will not receive credit for the question. What happens if I answer a true/false question incorrectly? The question will be marked as incorrect and you will not have an opportunity to try again. Can I take a make-up exam if I don't pass? Unfortunately, no. We do not allow make-up exams. If you miss a multiple choice question on the first attempt, you will need to answer correctly on the second attempt in order to receive credit. How is my final score calculated? The number of correct/credited answers will be divided by the total number of quiz questions, and the result will be your final score. Example: A course has 70 questions. You answered 15 of them incorrectly, which leaves 55 that you can receive credit for. Divide 55 by 70 and the result is 76%. Therefore, your overall quiz score is 76%.

Is the course approved for CPD in Australia?

In Australia, our online courses are likely to be worth at least 2 CPD hours per week. AHPRA is the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and governs multiple occupations including psychologists, doctors and nurses. These professions are required in Australia to complete a certain amount of CPD hours annually. How they claim the CPD hours varies by profession and is not a process that Psychwire is involved in. The different governing bodies under the AHPRA umbrella have their own specific set of guidelines to be followed by their members.
