About EMDR for Attachment Injuries course

EMDR therapy with children and adolescents can profoundly impact the trajectory of their lives by healing trauma, building resiliency, and addressing distress early. This six-week child and adolescent-oriented course focuses on basic and advanced applications of EMDR therapy with this delightful, yet vulnerable population. Join Carolyn Settle, a respected researcher, author, and trainer as she teaches developmentally appropriate skills to integrate the 8 Phases of EMDR into child and adolescent therapy (0 to 18-years-old). Through engaging video demonstrations featuring a range of client presentations, you will learn creative and powerful tools designed to address the specific needs and complex issues children, teens and their families face today. As a psychotherapist for over 40 years, Carolyn Settle shares her personal experiences of translating EMDR therapy into kid-friendly language through play, art, and expressive therapies. Can I get CPD in Australia for taking the EMDR course?

In Australia, each EMDR online course is likely to be worth at least 2 CPD hours per week. AHPRA is the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and governs multiple occupations including psychologists, doctors and nurses. These professions are required in Australia to complete a certain amount of CPD hours annually. How they claim the CPD hours varies by profession and is not a process that Psychwire are involved in. The different governing bodies underneath the AHPRA umbrella have their own specific set of guidelines to be followed by their members. Participants must have completed basic EMDR training by an accredited training provider and be able to provide a certificate for proof of EMDR basic training completion. How do the Signature Courses work?

Can I defer the course?

If you find yourself unable to complete your course in the allotted time, please contact our customer support representatives via the message icon on our website or by emailing support@psychwire.com . If your deferral request gets approved, you will be subjected to our deferral terms in which your enrollment will be removed from the current intake and you will receive a coupon code which shall be valid within one(1) year from the date of request. If you are unable to use the code within its validity period, your enrolment will be forfeited.

What’s your refund and cancellation policy?

If you’re unsatisfied or you’re unable to complete the course, we’re able to provide a full refund, providing you let us know within seven days of the course beginning. After this time, if you’re unsatisfied, please contact the customer service team and we’ll work with you directly to resolve your issue. If you’re facing serious difficulties outside your control, please contact our customer service team. Although we can’t give you a refund after seven days, we can discuss with you the possibility of deferring to a future course date. If Psychwire Australia PTY LTD has to delay the start date of a course, all registrants will be notified by email and you’ll be given an opportunity to request a refund. What are the requirements for CE/CME credits?

EMDR for Attachment Injuries online course offer 12 CE/CME credit hours providing the following requirements have been met: 1. An overall quiz score of at least 75%. Quiz questions from the entire course are included in this overall total. You must answer the question correctly within three attempts. 2. The course must be completed in full. 3. Payment of a non-refundable USD$20 processing fee paid before the completion of your course. 4. Submission of post-course evaluation form. How are the CE/CME credits calculated?

Quiz Questions and Score Calculation

An overall quiz score of 75% or higher is required in order to receive CE/CME credits. Where are the quiz questions located? Quiz questions are located at the end of each week of the EMDR for Attachment Injuries Course Quiz questions are located after most modules of the EMDR for Attachment Injuries Course What is the format of the questions? Most questions are multiple choice, some are true/false. How many questions are there? 36 Quiz Questions in EMDR for Attachment Injuries Course Do all of the questions count toward my score? Yes. All quiz questions are counted toward your score. What happens if I answer a multiple choice question incorrectly? If you miss a multiple choice question, you will immediately have two more opportunities to answer the question correctly. If you answer correctly on your second or third attempts, then you will receive credit for the question. If you answer incorrectly on your third attempt, you will not receive credit for the question. What happens if I answer a true/false question incorrectly? The question will be marked as incorrect and you will not have an opportunity to try again. Can I take a make-up exam if I don't pass? Unfortunately, no. We do not allow make-up exams. If you miss a multiple choice question on the first attempt, you will need to answer correctly on the second attempt in order to receive credit. How is my final score calculated? The number of correct/credited answers will be divided by the total number of quiz questions, and the result will be your final score. Example: A course has 70 questions. You answered 15 of them incorrectly, which leaves 55 that you can receive credit for. Divide 55 by 70 and the result is 76%. Therefore, your overall quiz score is 76%.

How do I access the online forum?

Click on the "Forum" button and you'll be taken to the forum where you can ask questions or make a comment. The idea is, you study the materials and interact via the forum. Trainers will reply to questions or add to discussions via posts to the forum.

How long are the discussions on the online forum available to refer to?

You can view all discussions that take place on the online forum for the duration of the course. The trainers will be active in the Forum while the course content is being released but will be unavailable once the 4 week grace period begins. You can still review any of the comments and questions in the grace period, you just can't post anything new.

When can I catch the trainers online?

There is no fixed time that the trainers will be “live” online but you will find them active at least four or five times a week, sometimes as often as two or three times in a day.

How do I use the library?

Click on the "Library" button to access course material you can download. The content you can access will grow as each new week is released to you.

How do I know who is a trainer?

Trainers can be identified easily as beside their name you will see "Trainer" displayed in grey. They are also displayed on the right hand side of the Forum, under "Meet the team" with a Profile photo. You can click on any trainer and see their Profile information including a detailed bio.

How do I create or edit My Profile?

Click on "My Dashboard" in the top right of your screen and select “My Profile” from the drop down menu. To edit your name or Profile photo, click on the “Edit” button in grey letters on your screen. Psychwire's Signature Courses run on an intake basis, each course commences on a specific day at midnight PST.
